Barefoot Initiative is a not-for profit non government organisation (NGO) that has no religious or political affiliations. Barefoot Initiative works to support communities in the Afar region of Ethiopia.  We use a Human Centered approach, applying simple, and appropriate technology to develop projects in close collaboration with the community so that they can maintain and further what has been done.

Providing grassroots support in partnership with Afar communities to strengthen health, education, economic and overall wellbeing.
